Choc-Oat-Chip Cookies

Sometimes we have cookies and until now, they are the Toll House recipe. In the mood to try something new, my eye caught another recipe on the bag of chocolate morsels.

1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
1 1/4 c packed brown sugar
1 c butter, softened
1/2 c granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 c oats
2 c chocolate chips
1 c nuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.

Beat brown sugar, butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until creamy.

Beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.

Gradually beat in flour mixture.

Stir in oats, chips and nuts; mixing well after each addition.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets or stones.

Bake 9-13, less time for chewy and longer time for crispy cookies.

Cool on baking sheets for one minute and cool completely on wire racks.

I liked these better than the Toll House cookies. Having oats in there totally does it for me. Rodney totally chowed on them.
