I didn't think Ralph's had a "store brand" of fresh Italian sausage, but lo and behold, I found some while I was there. It was labeled "Private Selection", which is Ralph-ology for Ralph's brand.
A little disappointed with the number of ingredients in the statement, I was glad there was no HFCS or MSG or "chicken".
In case you can't read that tiny print:
INGREDIENTS: pork, seasoning (salt, spices [includes fennel and black pepper], dextrose, sugar, hydrolyzed soy protein, garlic powder, sherrywine powder [natural flavorin, maltodextrin], oleoresin of paprika, natural flavors, tricalcium phosphate), water.
CONTAINS: SOY.
But you know what, if you look at it, it's pork, seasonings, and water. Of course, the number of seasonings outnumber by far those listed in the Stater Bros. New York Style Hot Italian Sausage. Just sayin'.
