Food plan 111509

Since last week went so well, I'm going to do a repeat -- cook stuff from what we have, which is reasonable considering the amount of meat in the freezer.  I do need some stuff from Costco and will be stopping there.  Hopefully, that'll be the only stop, as it alone usually winds up costing a mint.

I'm going to do this week totally on the fly, so bear with me.

111809, Costco:
  • tortilla chips: $3.29
  • extra long-grain rice: $3.59/10 lb
  • multi-grain bread: $3.99/2 loaves
  • diced tomatoes: $15.98/16 cans
  • salmon, frozen: $19.99
  • Mexican-blend cheese: $5.59/2.5 lbs
  • unsalted butter: $6.29
  • low-sodium bacon: $8.79/4 lbs
Total: $62.51 (with coupons)

111909, Stater Bros.:
  • sourdough bread: $2.50/loaf
  • eggs: $2.59/18
  • lemon: $0.50
Total: $5.59

Grand Total: $68.10.  Not great, but not too horrible.
