Looking at the arborio rices available, I saw that the one I used last was no longer on the shelf. Not that they were sold out and the slot on the shelf was empty, there wasn't even space for that old brand.
Instead, there was this Della brand of arborio rice.
Grown in the US, it's micro-milled rice. I'm not sure what micro-milled rice means exactly, but the grains sure are shiny. What caught my eye though is that it's non-GMO Project Certified, Quality Assured, it's not genetically engineered, BPA free, and all natural.
What's really nuts is how our food has to have these claims on it. Could you imagine what it must have been like when food was always natural?
