Pumpkin Puree, Drained
I wanted to see what would happen if I drained some pumpkin puree.
Grabbing the smallest colander, I threw a couple coffee filters in it before transferring all of the puree from a 2-cup Glad/Ziploc container. And before I could put the colander in a bowl, the puree leaked a lot of pumpkin juice all over the bench.
I let it sit in the fridge over the course of the day, about 11 hours.
Using a spoon, I scooped the one cup necessary for cheesecake and leveled it.
And then transferred the rest of the puree into custard cup to save for later.
I didn't measure it but this was about 3/4 cup of pumpkin juice.
So it looks like almost half the volume of pumpkin puree in the freezer is just water. That means the 44.25 cups left is really just 33 cups. I guess it doesn't really make that much difference. 33 cups is still a ton.

I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement the concept. Thank you for the post.
