Alessi Sun-Dried Tomatoes in Extra Virgin Olive Oil



Pot roast in the oven, a couple hours are free to work on lasagna. These tomatoes are a primary ingredient in that lasagna.

I wonder why these tomatoes have so much sodium? They must be salted as part of the drying process. The ingredients say: sun dried tomatoes, olive oil, salt, black pepper, sweet marjoram, basil, sulfites added.


Sun-dried tomatoes look trippy. And they are surprisingly firm, sort of like jerky, even though they are soaking in oil.
