I've had this bread a couple of times and it is a fantastic artisan in that it's uses are wide.
You know how some artisan breads are so crusty the roof of your mouth pays the price and a PB&J on one of those breads would be absurd? Not here. Just watch how long you toast it, if you want to toast it at all.
While there are instructions on how to bake the bread, I tend to cut a slice and throw it in the oven for a few minutes making sure to keep an eye on it. It is even great toasted quickly in the broiler.
La Brea Take & Bake Tuscan Loaf, available at Ralph's for $3.49/12 oz.
